The owner of Midwest KIA teamed with SJCF Architecture to create one of the largest new KIA stores in the nation. During the design process, effective communication between KIA’s corporate branding team, the owner and the architect enabled the development of an award winning dealership that exceeded expectations.
Located just off a busy urban highway, the site includes a secure sales lot for 230 vehicles, as well as lots for service and customer parking. Exterior work required coordination of electronic access, corporate signage, LED lot lights and message board.
The building’s 23,000 square foot ground floor holds the showroom, parts department and service bays. The service department includes three wash bays, two express service bays and ten full service bays. The two-story showroom features a wide expanse of exterior glass to provide greater sales lot visibility for staff and a comfortable open-feel shopping experience for the customer. Staff has access to a service technician locker room and a break room.
Administrative offices and a large meeting room capable of hosting the entire staff are located on the 7,000 square foot upper floor and enjoy views to the showroom below.
